Abstract
The municipality of Francisco Morato is the scene of a considerable number of episodes of gravitational mass movements (landslides) and floods. This work presents the concepts that guide the analysis of landslides and floods, the assessment of geological risks, the geological contextualization of the municipality of Francisco Morato, the description of a geological risk mapping area, the development of risk mapping in the described area, the definition of the degrees of geological risk in the sectors of the mapped area and the list of recommendations for mitigating the risks studied.
