Abstract

Anxiety and irritability are two highly prevalent psychopathologies in youth and each has been associated cross-sectionally with maladaptive cognitive control. However, the potential roles of their developmental trajectories in the neural substrates of cognitive control is unknown. The present study examines the association between developmental trajectories of anxiety and irritability from ages 2 to 15 with neural activity during cognitive conflict in adolescence.
