Abstract

It addresses the mapping between Knowledge Organization Systems (KOS) for the establishment of semantic interoperability in KOS from the perspective of ISO 25964-2: 2013. From the need to understand the types and functions of mappings between SOC developed in ISO 25964-2 (2013) standard, the research aimed to understand its role in the establishment of semantic interoperability in these systems. A Systematic Review of Literature was employed as a research method, with a protocol consisting of four steps. The critical analysis was performed with 12 articles resulting from research on this subject and six were in fact useful to the proposed objective. It was concluded that for an initial approach to the topic the research was relevant and brought results, presented in the construction of the theoretical synthesis that discusses the models of mappings between SOC and the mappings of semantic relations. It is necessary to further deepen readings and to correlate the inputs obtained with other visions to broaden the understanding of the theme.
