Abstract
AbstractUsing the example of the HND and degree courses at the University of Luton an examination of the nature and purpose of design education for cartographers and geographers is undertaken. An outline of the syllabus of one module in particular illustrates the necessary linkage between fundamentals of cartographic design and the new technologies in map production.
