Abstract

Many all-optical logic gates and their functions are studied via three chaotic lasers obtaining their synchronization. We present an all-optical logic gate physics model with three injected multiple quantum well lasers while we deduce an all-optical logical operation equation which governs chaotic synchronization, logical output and computation using a logical signal modulating light input. To achieve all-optical logical operation for logical computation, we define the logic computational principle via the real time detection of the synchronization or desynchronization regions. Demodulations of the chaotic synchronization in the three injected lasers are achieved to emulate logic performances and computations using light control input to observe appropriately the synchronization or desynchronization between two chaotic signals. By programming XNOR and NOR logic functions on the system, we present an all-optical fundamental construction of logic XNOR-gate and NOR-gate. Results show that the system can emulate successfully and achieve synchronously three all optical XNOR-gates and shows practicability of optics computation.
