Abstract

Technology is developed for manufacturing corundum refractories and refractory fittings (objects) used in production of engineering ceramics. Compositions of corundum ceramics, prepared on the basis of polyfraction electromelted corundum, alumina, and high-alumina cement, exhibit high thermomechanical stability up to 1700°C. Vibration casting is used to manufacture large refractory objects of complex shape. The thermomechanical stability of specimens, and manufacturing approval of the compositions and technology developed, are evaluated.
