Abstract
In the production of chemical apparatus of titanium a significant amount of the work is spent on manual argon-arc welding with a nonconsumable electrode. However, this method of welding is unproductive and the quality of the weld joints obtained is not always satisfactory. This is responsible for the necessity of use of more productive and reliable welding methods. One of these is plasma welding.
