Abstract

Sarigol, which features the characteristic of South-West Anatolia, is a county that is located in 130 km east of Manisa. As Sarigol has borders with four cities, it interacts culturally and socially with the dwelling units of those cities. This interaction influences the dialect features in time. Along with compilation and examination, classification studies also have an important place in studies that are carried out on Turkish dialects. These classification studies appeal to comparative grammar method. Classification studies are done according to certain criterion. In the classification of the Anatolian dialects, it is generally seen that a phonology and morphology-based method is used. In some studies, classification is based on the words that are frequently used in a dialect area and have variants. Different variants of “simdi” adverb were seen in Sarigol dialects. On the other hand, it was seen that the variants of “simdi” adverb show parallelism from some aspects in a classification based on some other criterion about Sarigol dialects. Further, different results emerged when some points such as gender and age were considered.
