Abstract

The psychological impact of child sexual abuse extends to cognitive and personality development. There have been many studies of the effects of childhood sexual on adults, but much less research has measured the proximal consequences of sexual abuse in adolescents. This study investigated associations between the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Adolescent (MMPI-A) score elevations, IQ scores, and academic achievements in sexual abuse victims.
