Abstract

Subject. This article examines the disproportions of spatial development and the imbalance of the national budget system of the Russian Federation. Objectives. The article aims to determine the interrelation and interdependence of threats to the economic security of the Russian Federation at the sub-sovereign level, as well as assess the presence and sufficiency of threat threshold values. Methods. For the study, we used structural and dynamic analyses, and the general scientific methods. Results. The article proves that fiscal imbalance and intensifying differentiation in the development of the Russian Federation subjects are systemic threats to the economic security of the country, which increase the vulnerability of the national economy to the effects of destabilizing factors. Conclusions. It is necessary to set up a system of consistent indicators with thresholds that could be used to develop an economic security policy of Russia.
