Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the manifestations of the problem of gender discrimination, which worsened during the period of self-isolation during the pandemic. The growing interest in the problems of gender studies indicates that society is already concerned not only with the problems of legal equality of the sexes, but also with the problem of discrimination against women hidden from the public eye, including in the family sphere. The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent self-isolation have exacerbated both the problems of domestic violence in families in many countries and problems in the field of labor relations. This article is based on extensive empirical research by the World Health Organization, UNAIDS and the Analytical Center of the National Agency for Financial Research on the problems of discrimination against women in the labor and family spheres.
