Abstract

Abstract This study assessed the influence of dietary supplementation of Mango leaf (ML), antibiotic (70% oxytetracycline + 30% neomycin) and tert-Butylhydroxyanisole on growth, immune indices, blood chemistry, caecal microbiota and meat quality in broilers. One day old Ross 308 chicks (n = 280) were randomly allotted to either F-1, basal diet (BD) without additive, F-2, BD + 0.4 g/kg antibiotic + 0.12 g/kg tert-Butylhydroxyanisole; F-3, BD + 2.5 g/kg ML; or F-4, BD + 5 g/kg ML for 42 d. At the starter phase, body weight gain (BWG) in F-3 and F-4 was higher (P 0.05) by dietary treatments.
