Abstract
Abstract Mild oxidation of alcohols has been achieved with tert -butylhydroperoxide catalyzed by electron deficient manganese(III) corroles at room temperature. The catalysts used in this study showed high activity in the oxidation of benzylic alcohols to the corresponding carbonyl compounds.
