Abstract

The orthopedic management of Hallux Valgus is an important part of the treatment of this pathology, it is the initial alternative of management such as footwear change, use of orthotics, physical therapy and local measurements on the feet. Orthopedic treatment must provide the patient with relief in your pain and avoid increasing the deformity.This conservative management begins with an adequate explanation to the patient of his pathology as well as the changes he must make in his footwear, either sporting or work. As well as the use of the appropriate orthosis and the exercises recommended in physical therapy.When the pain is not controlled with the orthopedic management and the deformity increases, we must think about taking the option of the surgical treatment.
