Abstract

Micrognathia as a cause for airway obstruction is a very difficult problem encountered in the neonate with craniofacial disorders. Recognition and treatment of obstruction is necessary to prevent significant morbidity. Mandibular distraction osteogenesis is an option in selected patients that prevents the need for tracheostomy.
