Abstract

This contribution reviews the book Mandatory family protection which focuses on rules that exist in different countries to protect family members of a deceased person. Various authors describe and analyse the rules of European nations, countries influenced by European law, China and Islamic law. Other chapters are dedicated to an analysis of historical developments or to more general, comparative perspectives.
