Abstract
This exploratory study looks at the behavior of a number of CEOs (mostly owner-managers) who kept their companies running during a situation of great stress. Interviews were conducted with 13 Lebanese CEOs to investigate what kind of impact the Lebanese war had on their behavior and emotional well-being and on the functioning of their organizations. Postulations are made about a number of personal and social factors that could explain the resilience of our respondents and their organizations.
