Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to define, simplify and integrate two important concepts in development project management. It merges the traditional and widely used logical framework approach (LFA) with the emerging new results-based management (RBM) philosophy. While reviewing the nature and context of each of the concepts, the paper shares some lessons learned by the development community and establishes a strategic convergence of the LFA and RBM. The paper provides a structured and illustrated systematic approach to building, revising and using a results-based LFA as a dynamic management tool throughout the project life cycle.
