AbstractFor western producers and crop consultants, stem nematode is one of the top pests in terms of potential alfalfa yield, quality, and stand reductions. With no economically viable or registered nematicides, management hinges on resistant varieties, planting certified seed, crop rotation, equipment sanitation, and where possible, reducing water runoff from potentially infested fields.
