Abstract
Tagged Image Management System based on Lattice Structures (TaILaS), the next-generation management we propose for a large number of images, constructs a concept lattice from image tags using formal concept analysis, then visualizes the Hasse diagram of this lattice for any numbers of images. TaILaS enables users to avoid having to classify images which are difficult to divide into folders. TaILaS runs on a conventional computer (CPU = 2.13 GHz,MM= 2 GB) and is implemented in Processing as a Java-based programming language. Experiments involving 11 subjects using 100 images selected from the Corel Image Gallery confirmed that TaILaS manages huge image databases effectively.
