Abstract

While the conversations concerning design thinking have been well documented internationally, in Australia there is very little literature available that uncovers how it is being adopted and developed by design and business at a national level. As such the research report ‘Design Thinking: Exploring the Opportunities for the Design Industry and Business in Australia’ was undertaken in order to investigate this and document it for future research, discussions and initiatives in the pursuit of design thinking activities within Australia. The findings were arranged into two main themes, barriers and opportunities, and are summarised in this paper.
