Management problems on Danish North Sea coasts

Abstract

Coastal management can easily develop to a conflict between protection of nature at any price or coastal protection at any price. Another influence interferes more and more with the first two mentioned, namely estate agents and landowners without any interest in either nature or coastal protection unless buildings or land are threatened. This presentation throws light on such a situation on the Danish North Sea coast.
