Abstract
Inadvertent simple excision of soft-tissue sarcoma is common. While some investigators advocate immediate re-resection of the operative bed, our institution has routinely employed preoperative radiation therapy, followed by definitive oncologic re-excision. The purpose of this study was to review the outcomes after pre-operative radiation therapy and definitive surgery for patients who initially had inadvertent excision for sarcoma.
