However, no mention is made of the use of stored umbilical cord blood for the same purpose. The use of umbilical cord blood for lethal doses of radiation in mice has been documented (2), as has the potential use of stored umbilical cord blood in a nuclear disaster (3).We should consider saving cord blood at all hospitals throughout the United States for use in case of a nuclear ...
