Abstract

Management of post-traumatic midface deformity is very challenging and requires careful planning prior to surgery. Assessment of the visual acuity, diplopia, and extraocular muscle is important prior to any secondary orbital reconstruction. The use of virtual surgical planning will help in surgical planning and the anticipation of difficulties before surgery. Bone grafts are mostly required in post-traumatic deformity cases. Understanding the sequence of the osteotomies and fixation techniques is important to achieve the best outcomes.
