Abstract

The management of Non- Performing Assets (NPAs) in banking has been a prime motive of several economies across the globe. Increased bad loans in the form of NPA as commonly known as affect the bank's profitability and weakens the banking sector. So, management of NPA is significant for overall banking system. It has been observed that several co-operative banks have closed down due to excessive amount of bad loans. The present paper is an attempt to make a comparative analysis of the effective management of NPA in commercial Vs co-operative banks in Pune.
