Abstract

The labor market in the Russian Federation shows a surge of vacancies in the oil and gas industry; there is a lot of competition among job applicants. The peculiarities of work at oil and gas enterprises are revealed, this specificity of the work lies in the fact that the development of fields is located in remote regions of the country, where there is almost no population, therefore, enterprises are forced to send employees to their workplaces using a rotational work method. The rotational work method carries some of the features that the employer must decide. Special requirements must be applied to shift personnel, in addition to their qualifications and work experience, their psychological characteristics must be taken into account, because a shift involves long-term work in harsh natural conditions, a limited circle of friends. Working on a rotational basis requires workers to be particularly precise in their work and is extremely dangerous. It is important for enterprise managers to take all possible measures to create a comfortable environment for employees and to prevent any failures and harmonize the psychological state of employees. The oil and gas industry needs highly qualified personnel and extensive experience. But the analysis of the labor market suggests that there are problems with labor resources, there are problems with personnel in the oil and gas industry. Let us consider the problems faced by enterprises operating in the raw materials industry on the example of the international company “Weatherford International Ltd”.
