Abstract

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) are established methods for the treatment of medial osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. However, there is an associated risk of postoperative infection. For deep surgical site infection (SSI) after TKA, it is rudimentary to remove the implant and replace the prosthesis regardless of the type of staged surgery required [1-3]
