Abstract

The most common type of femoral false aneurysm is anastomotic; the second most common type is traumatic, having an iatrogenic origin. Noninfected femoral false aneurysms of 2 cm or less can be watched and operated upon when they show growth. The operative technique of false aneurysmorrhaphy varies according to the problems of the particular patient.
