Abstract

Diabetes in children, primarily Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM), presents unique management challenges and necessitates a multifaceted approach. This review explores the current strategies in the management of paediatric diabetes, including insulin therapy, dietary management, technological advancements like Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and insulin pumps, as well as emerging therapies. The efficacy, benefits, and limitations of each modality are discussed, providing a thorough understanding of paediatric diabetes care. Effective management of diabetes in children and adolescents is complex and requires a multidisciplinary approach. By addressing the multifaceted challenges with tailored strategies, healthcare providers can significantly improve the outcomes and quality of life for young individuals with diabetes.
