SummaryDiabetic Ketoacidosis is rare in pregnancy, especially in combination with the need for an emergency caesarean section and possible pre‐eclampsia. We discuss this case and the problems it presented, including complex fluid management, use of a blood ketone meter and the multidisciplinary team approach.
