Abstract

The emergence of the Internet has made an increasingly significant influence on public relations. Under the background of informationization, cyber communication appears and functions as a new sharp weapon for external activities among social members. How civil service and governmental public service institutions should capitalize the cyber communication to deal with media relations and crisis management has already become a significant topic. This essay will conduct a concise study of cyber communication and the engagement with the media, and attempt to offer some suggestions to help adapt the above institutions to the age of information.
