Abstract

Kidney transplants are being performed with increasing success, and the dental profession has the responsibility of providing outpatient oral care for these patients. A case is presented in which an acute alveolar abscess is treated by endodontic therapy in an immunosuppressed kidney transplant patient. The special problems in treating these patients are also discussed.
