Abstract

An otherwise healthy 18-year-old man presented to the Emergency Department (ED) with 3 weeks of progressive left hip pain with radiation to the ipsilateral knee. He had already completed a course of physical therapy without improvement. One day prior to presentation, the patient developed a fever, with complaints of dysuria. He denied trauma to the affected leg, as well as other joint involvement. He was sexually active with one female partner and denied using protection. On physical examination, the patient was well appearing.
