Abstract
A patient with the malignant Zollinger-Ellison syndrome developed multiple gastrin-containing skin nodules. Her plasma contained a high level of gastrin-like activity, equivalent to 356 ng. synthetic human gastrin I per ml. Bioassay of a skin nodule yielded the equivalent of 6.4 μg. per g. tumour tissue. Gastric hypersecretion, hypokalæmia, and diarrhœa were controlled by poldine methylmethosulphate.
