Abstract
Nonexpandable lung describes a spectrum of pathology encompassing lung entrapment and trapped lung in which the lung cannot expand after pleural drainage due to an active disease process or remote inflammatory condition (1–3). We present a case of a patient with suspected malignant pleural effusion and lung entrapment in the setting of metastatic breast cancer.
