Abstract

The prevalence of malignant paragangliomas is approximately 10% and is defined by the presence of metastases. Differential diagnosis includes hepatic tumors, alveolar soft part sarcoma, melanoma, glomus tumors, vascular neoplasms, and primary or metastatic carcinomas with endocrine or nonendocrine phenotype.
