Abstract

The link between male fertility and general health status has been suggested. Previous studies reported higher rate of medical comorbidities in patients with male factor infertility (MFI). However, most studies were based on aggregate administrative and registry data, comorbidity indices with limited application to young infertile men, and suboptimal control groups. The goal of this retrospective case-controlled study was to compare major medical comorbidities in the cohort of infertile and fertile men utilizing granular data from individual medical records.
