Abstract
SHOC: www.sexualhealthoncall.org Mala Morjaria is nurse practitioner for Looked After Children (LAC). Her remit is to develop holistic health services for children looked after by children’s services. Her work includes advising children on contraception, prevention of pregnancy and sexual health. Her current post is on secondment from Sexual Health On Call (SHOC), an organization which supports health promotion and the delivery of sexual health services in general practice and community health organizations. Mala has worked at SHOC for 8 years. SHOC develops and implements evidence-based sexual health campaigns targeted at specific groups, such as condom distribution to young people (the SAFE card Campaign), raising awareness of HIV and addressing female genital mutilation.
