Abstract
Slimy ridged bodies are squirming around. A cloud of winged black dots buzz and hover about. There is an odorthat smells like many microscopic corpses rotting. The ecosystems of these maggot-infestedfood scraps that colonize our green collection bins canbe seen as a more efficient and sustainable microcosm of my research on composting.
