Abstract
The purpose of this article is to share information about the virtual pre-conference seminar of the Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) Commission of The International Society for Music Education (ISME). The seminar included an Australian focus, as if not for the COVID-19 pandemic, the ECME seminar and the ISME world conference would have been held in Australia. The article presents key moments from the seminar, including the welcome, keynote and the range of presentations from many countries. The ECME commissioners worked tirelessly to make this event happen, dealing creatively and effectively with widely differing time zones and technical challenges.
