Abstract

ABSTRACT This story takes place in Kamathipura, the second largest red-light area in India during my time working with teenage girls living in a shelter home, a residential centre for girls whose mothers were engaged in sex work. My story demonstrates that, despite the stress in the girls’ lives, with proper group support they were able to discover the language of hope and possibilities.
