Abstract

To be competitive and attendant the customer's needs, internal or external customers, organizations need their IT assets are aligned with organizational strategic objectives. This alignment is possible establishing IT Governance processes to manage these assets. In the IT world there are various models of IT governance, however companies must choose one or more models best suits to your profile. There are several variables in this decision phase as the business kind and organization size. Choose one or more methodologies to suit the company profile isnt an easy task. There are several models available, and these models, in most cases, are long and complex. A solution is the adoption of parts of processes to suit the organization profile. The choice process can be better, but it is needed to obtain answers to some questions, such as: IT Principles, IT Architecture, the IT infrastructure, beside of the need of business applications and IT Investment and Prioritization. The proposal shown in this work is to evaluate the best practices available in the market, extract the main points and propose a model for the governance deployment which includes the points assessed.
