Abstract
In this issue of Cell Chemical Biology, Liu etal. describe the natural product DMBP as the first tool compound for VPS41. Treatment with DMBP induced vacuolization and methuosis and inhibited autophagic flux in lung and pancreatic cancer cell lines, validating VPS41 as a potential therapeutic target.
