Abstract
Abstract: In her latest column, NATS President Alexis Davis-Hazell examines the challenges of voice professionals navigating the figurative act two of their careers. She contemplates the mid-career crisis as a second adolescence, resulting in a call for transformation. Through hypothetical examples and analysis of the dynamics of mentorship, she observes how the crisis of mid-career is the most pivotal time of our professional lives. Davis-Hazell considers avenues of personal rediscovery and renewal by reflecting on a popular aphorism: we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
