Abstract

Students with disabilities face unique challenges on college campuses. One of those challenges is how to recognize and react appropriately to an emergency or violent incident, such as an active shooter. In New Jersey, the Bergen Community College Office of Specialized Services partnered with campus safety personnel and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office to develop a training program to address this need.
