This new development pattern has a robust theoretical foundation that is in line with Marxist political economy and a vital component of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics. The implementation of this new development pattern necessitates a “dual-drive” approach that relies on the supply side of innovation and the demand side to increase domestic demand.
