Abstract

Despite broad improvements in attitudes toward gender minorities, a new study examining mental health disparities in transgender individuals compared to the cisgender population has found alarming increases over several years, prompting researchers to call for new policies to address the worsening mental health of transgender and gender nonconforming people in the United States.
