Abstract
This paper presents long-term trends (over 10–20 years) of critical fluid properties from two different types of steam turbines, with the focus on the responses of applied corrective actions to maintain the fluid within manufacturer's specifications. In addition, ion exchange purification treatment is discussed, together with a simplified model to predict the maintenance cost of this treatment. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
