Abstract

<p indent="0mm">The space station is the first maintainable manned spacecraft designed under many engineering constraints, such as launch envelope, mechanical environment, space environment, on-orbit repair, and spare parts support. Its most important feature is reliability-centered online maintenance. During the maintenance, the space station normally remains in orbit. Through the design of visual accessibility, fault isolation, working mode, minimization of influence area, product generalization, interface standardization, and risk control, the space station can be maintained in orbit. By building a digital simulation model, the accuracy and efficiency of the maintainability design are improved. In the key technology verification stage of the China space station, the on-orbit maintainability practice was conducted, preliminarily verifying the precision of the maintainability design method of the space station.
